Marybeth Jacobsen practiced law in Illinois and California before becoming active in Simi Valley. She chaired both the committee that advocated for construction of Wood Ranch Elementary School, and SVUSD’s $145 million Measure C4 bond campaign. Marybeth served as the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce Leadership Committee Chair, Manager of Government Relations, Manager of Economic Development and is currently Director of Workforce Development.
While at the Chamber, Marybeth created the nonprofit Workforce Education Coalition where she formed Industry Guilds and hosted a variety of CTE activities for students and teachers. From 2020 – 2022, Marybeth was Executive Director of the VCIC.
