Mike has over twenty years of experience with the California Community Colleges. Mike currently establishes training support for manufacturers by creating local community college partnerships. He recently developed a successful “Fast Track” training curriculum with nearly a 90 percent placement rate for individuals with high-functioning autism. This 12-week intensive hands-on program continues to provide employers with entry-level Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist with industry-recognized credentials. Over the years, Mike’s career has focused on collaborating with industries to provide work-based learning through internships, apprenticeships, and pre-apprenticeship programs. He has managed work-for-credit college initiatives, multiple union apprenticeship programs, and was appointed Affirmative Action Commissioner for Santa Barbara County’s 4th District.
